"We live in a world that's fast paced, fast moving, fast flow. It can cause a lot of tension and stress. That tension and stress can cause you to hold tension in your shoulders. Actually to hold tension anywhere in your body. Carpal tunnel syndrome, tendonitis are considered holding injuries per the yogis. Which means you're holding things inside. Cutting off your blood flow and your oxygen to your muscles. The angel wing pose is a really good way just to bring some blood flow back into your shoulders and back into your arms. To prevent tendonitis and carpal tunnel syndrome. It's really easy. So we just come laying down and extend your legs out. And your palms are down towards the ground. You inhale in, slide your arms out into a T at shoulder height. Flip the hands over and reach the arms up over your head. Now you're trying to keep your hands down. Your hands may not come down to the ground the whole way but that's what you're trying to do. As you exhale you reach your arms out to the sides, again at shoulder height flip the palms over and bring them down along your sides. Coming through that several times, you'll find, can relieve stress and tension in the shoulders. It can help to heal carpal tunnel or tendonitis, tennis elbow and keep your arms, wrists healthy and strong. I'm Cindy Mastry. Namaste."
