"Now before we start what we have to do is take a thing, this mouth mirror right here, and we're going to check inside the patient's mouth to make sure that there's nothing that's going to be hurting them. Before we start coronal polishing and sticking him with all the instruments. On top of that what we're going to do is make sure he doesn't have any removable appliances. Now a removable appliance would be like a partial or a full denture. Because if you try to coronal polish those things, they, first of all you kind of wear on the acrylic that the denture's made out of and also you don't get a chance to take care of the gums that are underneath the denture. So you need to take all of those out and then you put those into a separate sterilizer. So you just pretty much have the natural mouth that you're working on. Another thing you ask the patient is if they have any space maintainers or any orthodontic appliances. Because you can't really get around those wires very well. So you have to take those out as well before you start. So let's use the mouth mirror. And open your mouth sir. And let's just look right around here just making sure we've got everything all set up so we can do the coronal polishing. Perfect."
