"Diabetic Ketoacidosis symptoms. The person will present with increased thirst, increased urination, weakness in the legs, vomiting, increased appetite, confusion, abdominal pain, shortness of breath, a general feeling of being ill, dry and itchy skin, dry mouth, increased respiratory rate, decreased blood pressure. The person may also have what they call Ketoacidosis breath which is fruity breath. You might think that person has been drinking the night before. It is kind of like a left over type smell but it is a fruity breath. All these symptoms, most of them will be presented in someone who has Diabetic Ketoacidosis and so it is not something that you want to ignore. You want to go to your licensed physician and let him know what your symptoms are so that you can be diagnosed and properly treated. There is treatment for it but it has to be properly diagnosed of course first."
