"Hi, I'm Trina Sims of Greenstar Herbs and today I'm going to talk a little about colon cleansing teas. Unfortunately, most of the colon cleansing teas you find on the market include things like senna or cascara sagrada and other herbs in that class. These can be violent prerogatives and cause a pretty extreme bowel movement as well as potentially cause some cramping and pain. If you feel you need something that strong, please use it under the care of a qualified health care practitioner. There are some gentler herb teas available though. Among my favorite is slippery elm or marshmallow; warm unfiltered apple juice; warm prune juice is a wonderful remedy as a colon cleansing beverage and licorice, dandelion root or ginger can also make very gentle but effective colon cleansing teas. I hope you found this information to be helpful. Thank you."
