"Hello my name is Dr. Loretta Ciraldo, board certified dermatologist and author of Six Weeks to Sensational Skin. In this clip we're going to talk about how to help clear your acne using apple cider vinegar. Now apple cider vinegar is chemically related to a very popular and proven acne treatment called glycolic acid. But maybe you haven't been to your dermatologist or drugstore recently to pick up some glycolic acid, so if you happen to have a little apple cider vinegar, which is the white vinegar at home, then you can pour it into a clean beaker, it does not need to be a beaker, it could be a clean plastic cup. And then with clean hands, or with a little cotton ball, you can take that apple cider vinegar and you can apply it as what we call a spot treatment so that for instance I see a little breakout right here and I'm going to dab it repeatedly onto the acne lesion. And you want to in the beginning leave it on that acne lesion for a period of 5 to 10 minutes. If any burning ensues, wash it off faster. And you may just find that that calms your acne lesions. This is Dr. Loretta Ciraldo."
