Hi I'm Rachel Yatuzis and I'm going to teach you all about cleaning coated plastic lenses. A lot of times plastic lenses on your eyeglasses will be coated for tint or for scratch prevention and you can clean them just like you would any other pair of glasses. Usually if you've gotten them at the eye doctors, they come with this nifty little microfiber cloth that's really great for buffing the lenses and keeping them nice and clean. And you want to keep this cloth handy but you want to keep it out of the air, you don't want dust on it and debris and things like that or you're going to end up with scratches on your lenses. If you do get scratches on your lenses, buff some Pledge onto them or some Brasso for 3 to 4 minutes. Then you want to rinse them with just soap and water and you can repeat that as much as you need. That'll get rid of the scratches. If you want to remove the plastic coating, you can get sunscreen and dab a little bit on each lens and get a sock over your hand and sit there and buff the sunscreen onto the lens and it'll remove that coating. So whichever works best for you, whatever you need to do, that's how you do it. I'm Rachel Yatuzis and that is how you clean coated plastic lenses.
