"Hi, my name is Brooke Kramer and I am the financial aid officer with Argosy University in Salt Lake City and today we're going to talk about the types of scholarships. There are a huge range of scholarships available. It's almost difficult to go into specifically how many there are. Just to give general examples of the most common though are academic scholarships. Academic scholarships are based on past grade point averages either from your high school or from your undergraduate or even from your Masters degree. There are also sports scholarships available out there that, again, are based on what sport you might be doing at the time. There are community service scholarships which, again, will go based on where you have given out community service, helped people in the past, as well as leadership awards. There are also returning adult awards. So, really, the best way to find out what scholarship is best for you is to visit your local institute where you plan on attending school or just doing a general search on the web.
