"Hello, I'm Dr. Loretta Ciraldo, Board Certified Dermatologist, and author of " Six Weeks to Sensational Skin." This clip is about what causes large pores. Basically, large pores, reflect the fact that there is an accumulation of dead cell buildup within the pores, and the dead cell buildup really stretches out the pore. This is very commonly seen if you have a hereditary tendency towards large pores, and sometimes it can be seen, really just as part and parcel of a process, where your skin is starting to become more acne prone. If you do in fact have large pores, there are two kinds of products that you should consider getting. First of all, your cleanser should have an active ingredient to empty out the pores. That would be specifically a salicylic cleanser, or a benzoyl peroxide cleanser, and then the next thing, is you should think about using a gel, or leave on lotion, which also will help your pores, benzoyl peroxide, salicylic, or glycolic. This is Dr. Loretta Ciraldo, in Miami."
