Hi this is Rachael Richardson with Nutrolution Incorporated in South Beach, Florida. In this clip we are talking about foods that are high in uric acid and so a couple of examples are foods like coffee actually so beverages like coffee, alcohol, meats, are high in uric acid, dairy is high in uric acid. All of these things are high in your acid levels and a high uric acid level can cause stress on the kidneys and it can also potentially cause a condition called gout which is basically when the uric acid accumulates in the feet and causes different kinds of joint pain and other types of problems related to your feet. Foods that are lower in uric acid are going to be more of your plant foods, things like vegetables and fruits, nuts, seeds, olive oil, these types of foods and I definitely recommend making your diet as rich as possible in those low uric acid foods and then of course having those other foods like the meat, the dairy and the coffee in moderation.
