Drinking cranberry juice can greatly benefit the entire urinary tract system, including the bladder, as it helps to remove bacteria from the walls of the urinary tract and prevents infection. Drink pure unsweetened cranberry juice, mixed with a bit of water and a touch of maple syrup to taste, with health information from a registered dietitian and licensed nutritionist in this free video on healthy eating.
Hi, this is Rachael Richardson with Nutrolution Incorporated in South Beach, Florida. In this clip, we're talking about the benefits of cranberry juice. Cranberry juice is actually used primarily to help with the urinary tract and the bladder and the entire urinary tract system. So it's very, very helpful at keeping it clear. It actually helps to remove bacteria from the walls of the urinary tract so that they don't continue to grow and then, potentially, cause a urinary tract infection or a bladder infection. The one thing that you really want to make sure of is that you're drinking a pure cranberry juice and not one that is loaded with different kinds of sugars and then just diluted with water. Now, some people will say that this doesn't taste very good and it's sour, which it is very, very sour. You don't need much. You just need a few drops, like a couple tablespoons. And then what I recommend that you do is you add it to something like a sparkling water like this. And if you need to, add a touch of maple syrup and just stir it up, and you've got yourself a homemade, natural cranberry juice cocktail.
