Hi, I'm Rachel Yatuzis and I'm going to show you how to remove hair dye stains. The most common place hair dye stains are found is on your clothing and on your floors. It is a pain to try and get the stains out and if you wait too long it will be too late. The trick is to catch the stain right as the hair dye drips onto the floor and then you have a chance of saving your fabric. What you want to do is make a spray bottle of vinegar and water. You should have one of these sitting around at all times anyways cause it's excellent for cleaning any part of your house but, if you just put, let's see, for this size bottle you just need a little splash of vinegar. And a little bit of water. You want to use warm water for the stains and you want to spray it. This is great for your clothing. You want to spray this vinegar and water solution onto your clothes. This is the best thing for any kind of fabric. Clothing or curtains or floor I would say try the vinegar and water first. And you're going to use a lot of elbow grease for this. Just work it in and work it in. If you get some of the dye on the cloth that you're using to clean you want to use a clean part of the cloth for the next scrub. You know you don't want to be rubbing the stain back into the material even worse. Also if it's on carpet you may want to try carpet cleaner. This one comes with the scrubbing brush part and you just squirt a little bit, work it in, and repeat that as often as you need to. If the stain is on a hard surface like marble, tile, laminate, something like that, rubbing alcohol will get it out. Put rubbing alcohol on a rag or a paper towel and just in a circular motion rub the stain. It is that simple. I'm Rachel Yatuzis and that is how you remove hair dye stains.
