A curly updo hairstyle is best started with a ponytail, and pinning up various curls on top of the head creates wonderful movement and texture. Pin up curly hair into a funky or sophisticated updo with advice from a professional hair stylist in this free video on hair care.
Hi, I'm Amelia, and I'm going to show you, just a quick, curly updo style. You want to make sure that you've got your hair fully curled. I find the best foundation for an updo, the most secure, especially if you're going to do it on yourself, is a ponytail, so you want to make sure that you get your hair into a ponytail, and then depending on how long this hair is, you would just take those curls, and randomly pin them, and also depending on how kind of funky you want it to be. If you want it to be a little bit more on the funky side, you can let some of those curls hang. If you want it to be a little bit smoother, then what you would do, is just take those curls, kind of wrap them around your finger, and create more of like a pin curl look. It's going to give you a little bit more of a traditional look, on the updo, and you can do that all over, and that's going to give you a nice, quick updo, that you can do at home, and you don't have to go to the salon for, but curls are really easy to work with, because they're very random, and they kind of go all over the place, so just by simply randomly pinning your curls up, even if your hair is down, and you just randomly pin your curls up, you can get something more like this, as well, where you've just got your hair pinned up, so just try to have fun with those curls, and you can definitely get some really cute updos, just by grabbing some pins, and a ponytail holder, and have fun with it.
