Hi this is Zephyr Clarke-Dolberg with Miami Dog Training in Miami, Florida. In this clip we're going to talk about how to train aggressive dogs. Now that title can be perceived a couple different ways. That could be training a dog to be aggressive or training a dog that wants to be aggressive towards me. In either case the biggest thing with an aggressive dog is winning the challenge. You can't take the challenge if you are not ready to go the distance. So with a dog that wants to be aggressive towards me it is a matter of leash corrections and the dog getting to know me, the dog accepting me as the leader, the dog following my lead. With training a dog to be aggressive, you know, one of the things we don't do is use a choker because that gives them a correction. So if the dog lunges or pulls they get corrected so in which case you wouldn't want that so you would use a flat buckle collar and something that they wouldn't get a correction from.
