Hi, I'm Kelli. I'm an aesthetician, and makeup artist at Ulta Salon & Cosmetics, and I'm going to show you how to use a blemish extractor. If you've never seen one before, this is a blemish extractor. It has two loops on either end, one larger, and one smaller, and basically, what you're going to do, is if you have a clogged pore, or a blemish, you're going to push this loop around the blemish, and you're going to wiggle it, to pull the blemish out, so we're just going to first sanitize our blemish extractor, because we've used it before, and removed a blemish. We don't want to transfer that bacteria onto the skin, and we're also just going to take a little bit of antiseptic, and we're going to clean the area, of where we're trying to remove the blemish, so we'll just do a little bit here on her nose. She really doesn't have any blemishes, but we might be able to get a clogged pore, or something, and you also want to kind of keep a cotton ball with you, with a little bit of antiseptic on it, so that way if you do pull out a blemish, you can kind of wipe it off, so all you're going to do, is you're going to actually hold the blemish extractor on where you're trying to remove, and you're just going to press, and wiggle, to try to get either a clogged pore, or the blemish out, and then wipe off the excess. Sometimes you might have to be a little bit forceful with it, to pull it out, and it can be a little bit painful, but in the long run, it's worth it. That's how you would use a blemish extractor.
