Hi friends, I'm Mark Govan here with ABC Pest Control in Largo, Florida and people ask me on a regular basis, what can I do for my pet? Are there any home remedies that I can use on my pet to keep my pet free of fleas? Well, you know there's been a lot of talk about people using different products and they say that well sometimes they have good results and sometimes they don't. Keeping your pet bathed with a regular pet shampoo will work to help keep and limit the amount of flea eggs and fleas on your pet or combing your pet on a regular basis with a good flea comb with eliminate the numbers of fleas that your pet has. But using specific products on your pets whether you have a dog or a cat, I would make sure before I use anything on my pet that I check with my veterinarian to make sure that that product is safe to use on your pet. Remember your pet's skin has oils that help to protect both the fur and the hide of the pet and you don't want to use something that will go ahead and hurt your pet in the long run. Again, I'd like to recommend professional application of fleas either by your veterinarian or a good pest control company in your area. I'm Mark Govan with ABC Pest Control in Largo, Florida helping to protect you from pests.
