Hi, I'm Noah, and today we're going to learn how to find the extension of a file. Although modern version of Windows are designed to deliver a neat streamlined interface, it can sometimes be frustrating not to have the extension of a file, because it can be difficult to know what program to use to open the file without it. But the good thing is this information can easily be revealed in just a few clicks. To find the question right click on the file, and then select properties. Here under type of file, you'll be able to see that it's a png image for example, and what the extension for the corresponding file type is. In this case dot png. Again, if you click on the details tab, you'll have the name of the file with its extension and also the type of file. However if the file is not on your desktop you'll have to search for it, in my computer, and in your local disk or your C drive. Then just find the folder it's in, and again repeat the same procedure. Once again you'll be able to see its full name under the type of file and again in the details tab.
