"Okay, since this purse is going to be reversible, the main idea is when we sew this that we want the black piece and the green piece to be exactly the same size. So I'm just going to start with the black piece first. I already have my black thread loaded so I'm going to do that one. I just want a square purse, I don't want it to be curved or fancy, but you can do that if you want. The more you work with it, the more comfortable you feel, you can do all kinds of stuff. Make sure you back tack up here to make sure that it doesn't come apart. There we go. Make a straight line from top to bottom. I'm going to go over here and make the same one over here. Remember to tack at the top. There we go and that's one side. But I always like to do this, I always like to trim off a little corner just so that the corners meet really nice and even on the inside. There we go. So now what we're going to do is sew this piece the same exact size as this piece."

on 02/08/2008 I love your instructables, but I think that a beginner sewer cant sew that fast and straight, how did you learn to sew straight when you began sewing? Could you show us those beginning techniques?
