"We're talking today about running the reverse. We can give a different look to the reverse by running what we call a bootleg reverse which is just using our quarterback. We never hand off to the backfield. However, we do start the play with a fake. In this case, since we have two backs but we're going to use our quarterback as the man to hand off the reverse, we can use our tailback as a lead blocker. When this play happens, our tailback is going to split off to the left side giving an entirely different look on the reverse. We want our quarterback to open up and fake to the fullback. When he fakes, he's going to carry it on through so it looks like he's giving it to the fullback and then he'll pop it out and run down the line where our exchange is going to be made for our reverse. Now if we decide to keep the guard in we have a running back pulling or we could have a guard, our running back and a wide receiver blocking off to the left side of the field as we run this reverse on through. It's just another effective way with a different look that you can run the reverse."
