In this clip we're going to talk a little bit about shop drawings. I've done a shop drawing of our table saw taper cut jug. Now you might look at it and say well that's an awful simple drawing, did we really need to do a drawing of a two piece jig? No, I could have done this from just a quick sketch, but I wanted to illustrate to you how you can utilize a program which this was actually a free download. It?s called Google SketchUp. I highly recommend it for anybody who's doing any kind of woodworking craftsmanship because while it?s not a CAD program in the true sense of the word, you can do layouts will full measurements as you can see I've done here, this is very simple but you get the idea. And you can do kind of sketchy looking lines. That's just a visual effect but take a look. Go online, lookup Google SketchUp, download it and try it out. You'll be glad you did.
