"WILLIE CARSON: Hi! My name is Willie. I'm from Carson Saw Shop here in Eugene, Oregon and I've been sharpening tools here for 25 to 30 years and I'm here with Expert Village today. Okay it looks like I have some hand sheep shears. A lot of people use these for grass shears also in their garden. Looks like somebody tied them together here. Now let's take that off the easier way. Okay and the way to sharpen one of these would be you'd want to over extend it so you'd take it, bend it toward the blades crossed each other from where they normally be and then use the sides of the wheel to cut the arc with. And it looks pretty good there and then this one needs to be other way. Then after that, we need to hone them in so we'll go ahead and cross some back over where they were. Work those edges a little bit. We want to get those burrs off so that when you go to operate them they don't dig in to each other. They need to make a nice shearing sound like that where they are not chewing each other apart. So those are done now."
