"FRED CARSON: Hi. My name is Fred Carson. I'm from Carson's Saw Shop in Eugene, Oregon. I've been sharpening tools for over thirty years and I'm here with Expert Village. This is called the set machine where we're setting each tooth. This tooth has to go down these--every other tooth. And then we're going to flip it over and do the other side. It's got a little plunger in here that goes "do-do-do" down on every tooth. And set it right here. Every tooth has to be set. Oh. But you gotta make sure you're on this, every other tooth every time. Now you can see we're getting--see this plunger working up and down and the finger moves the saw and we put more set in these teeth. So they'll cut through the wood and this will be wider at the teeth and narrower at the blanks so that the whole saw does not get stuck in the wood. And that's looking pretty good. We have a sharp hand saw with set in it."
