"So, we're going to add a primer to Sherry's skin now, and this primer is totally clear. Your can see it almost doesn't even look like I'm putting anything on her. But, primers are, they've been around for a few years and what they do is smooth out the texture of your skin and create a totally clean canvas for your makeup. So, primers aren't necessarily for everyone. Not everyone has to use it. Sherry doesn't even have to do it either, but the look that we're doing today is a really polished, smokey eye, and I want her skin to look flawless, so we're using a primer with this and then we're going to put her foundation over the top. You can even use a primer if you don't use foundation because, like I said, it will help to smooth out the texture. So, even sometimes, just doing this, could be all that you would need. You don't necessarily need a brush to put this on. I'm just applying it right with my finger and there's a lot of different primers out there that have dimethicone which is kind of like a silicone base that will help to fill in fine lines and wrinkles. This one is just going to help to, you know, smooth out the texture, minimize pours, everything like that, so her foundation goes on flawlessly."
