"With all of the different feelings and emotions, fears, worries that come up when you have Lupus, dealing with your stress is really important. Having a creative way to do that is a really good way to do that. keeping a journal is probably the most basic. Having a even just a plain blank notebook that you can write in to write your feelings, anything that comes to mind. Nobody else has to see it. It's just for you and it really let's you express yourself freely. Talking and writing about your feelings are two good ways to get those emotions out but other kinds of artistic expression can help you reach a more subconscious level of feeling. For example, drawing or painting, other kinds of visual art, singing, playing an instrument, making music. These are all different ways you can get at feelings you maybe even don't realize you have and express some of the subconscious fears or frustrations and get those out of your system too."
