"We're talking about Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy. So one of the first things I will do with the client, with a new client who is coming to see me for their first session is, I will, after we've discussed then I'll present an issue. I will then be finding out the type and the level of suggest ability. So what's suggest ability? Well, Suggest ability is a way we take in and process information. So, how I find out the type and level of their suggest ability is by asking them questions and I have this chart here which is what I use to determine their type and level of suggest ability. I will ask them ten or so questions from each of these sides of the sheet. O.k., and then when I've asked them the questions I'm able to then determine what is their type and level of suggest ability and that will help me to know what kind of language to use with when I have put them under into the hypnotic state and what type of words to use in the positive suggestions that I make to them. So there are two very important questions I'm asking to determine the suggest ability are: Have you ever walked in your sleep in your adult life? and, Do you feel, did you feel comfortable expressing your emotions to one or both parents? This enables me to discover the particular relationship that the client had with their parents, which gives me a lot of information in determining their type of suggest ability."
