There are a number of games on the Nintendo Wii which use the gun Wiimote controller. Titles from the "House of the Dead" series, "Sin & Punishment 2", "Martian Panic" and "Dead Space: Extraction" use the gun, to name a few. The Wii Zapper accessory comes packaged with "Link's Crossbow Training," but buying a second gun for games is a little pricey. Fortunately, you can make your own Wii Zapper accessory with a few household supplies.

Download and print the template located under Resources. Cut the pieces of the template out, including removing the three squares on the upper part of the template. These holes are for the nunchuk, wrist strap and IR camera on the remote.

Tape the template down on the cardboard, and trace the template. Make sure to trace the holes you cut earlier. Remove the templates and copy the dashed lines from the templates onto the cardboard. These are score lines, and will help you fold the cardboard later.

Cut out the pieces of cardboard.

Score the cardboard by pressing the blade of the knife or scissors gently along those score lines. These make it easier to fold the cardboard later.

Fold the pieces of the gun into shape. The upper piece should form a sort of open box, similar to the shape of the a Wii remote. The lower piece should form a handle. Glue the tabs to the model. Leave the glue to dry for a few minutes.

Slide the remote into the holster part. Hold the remote holster part on top of the handle part, measuring where you want to place the handle. Make sure you can reach the trigger with your pointer finger, and that it feels comfortable. Mark this point, so you can glue the pieces together.

If you need some cardboard, you can use an empty cereal box. Open it up and flatten it out, to give yourself a flat work surface.
