The martial arts V-step is important when executing the 360 punch. Learn how to V-step and punch from our Muay Thai expert in this free video clip.
Okay guys, now what we're going to do is we're going to take the 360 punch and just add the step like we did with the overhead and we stopped, and then we did one and then we traveled out to that direction. We're going to do the same thing here. So we start with our 360 punch again, only now instead of hitting our punch right here, we're going to elongate the spin a little bit and we're going to hit the punch on the next step. So what we do is we start here, we start our spin, we step back, we step out and then hit our punch. What that's going to do is that's going to allow you to once again hit one point, start a spin and then bang out to the direction again. So here it looks like you come back, but only for a moment because then your next steps come right back out. Make sure you keep your technique on this. A lot of people when they start spinning, their strikes start going to crap. Make sure they don't that. So you're here, start your spin, back, out, step. And that's your 360 step punch. Okay, now something else to keep in mind when you're doing this is that you have your hips turned out just like our good, proper technique like we did before with our punch, whereas with the 360 punch we were crossed. Now again, when you step out, make sure you hit this position. So we come here, we step out, there. We hit our position again, our hips are turned out, our shoulders are turned, so we hit this position nice and strong, another good way to use your V-stepping.
