Disc golf can be a fun and exciting game as well as great exercise. Learn some tips on how the Innova Pro Starfire disc flies in this free video.
This is a typical disc gold bag. And, today we're going to talk about fifteen different discs that I carry in my bag for different shot selections on the course. This is one of my most reliable discs. This is a Pro Starfire Distance Driver from Innova. In my evolution of disc golf, the Starfire is definitely an important era. This is the disc that I really felt like I could start throwing consistent two hundred to three hundred feet. I didn't understand at the time why, but I kind of understand a little bit now that this disc actually has an under stable characteristic to it. Where when you let this disc out, even if you let it out flat it's going to pull a little bit to the right. And, then it's going to fly for a couple of seconds in that direction. And, then it's going to slowly gradually start turning over for you. So, kind of like a clock if I'm standing at the T-pad and I'm looking at the hole and the hole is at noon. This disc right here, I know that if I aim for one-thirty or if I aim for one o'clock and I throw it flat and straight it's going to fly all the way to one o'clock. And, then when it gets about fifty feet from the hole it's going to actually fade over and it's going to get right to noon right to twelve o'clock which, is where I'm shooting. I'm just trying to work the disc and understand my throwing technique. Instead of trying over and over and constantly throwing the hole over, I actually move my trajectory over knowing that the disk is always going to land twenty feet to the left of wherever I'm aiming. So, I try to aim at one o'clock or two o'clock if I'm trying to get to noon or eleven o'clock usually. Again, this is a Pro Starfire. The Pro is different than the Star and the Champion. It's in the tier for Innova. It goes DX, which is going to be your lowest level plastic. It's going to get beat up real quick and your disc is going to get worn really quick. It's going to go from DX to Pro. And, your Pro plastic is pretty much what they started out with. I think it is some of the best plastic out there. The Champion plastic is a newer plastic. I've gone over some of those. And, then the high line plastic is the Star plastic. So, again this is the Pro Starfire from Innova. And, yeah.
