Disc golf can be a fun and exciting game as well as great exercise. Learn how to throw with a power grip in this free video.
Next we're going to talk about different ways of throwing discs and different grips for throwing discs. Every shot has a different grip that?s going to be more important for it. And for me one of the best grips that I know, is the pro grip. And the pro grip is with all four fingers, snugged up really nice. Making sure that I have the disc in the palm of my hand. So I make sure that the disc is in there. And I squeeze that disc as hard as I can. Now, I'm fortunate to have some local pros around to show me some things, and one of the grips that I've been show by Dave Feldburg, that him and Avery use, is a grip they have two fingers out, and two fingers in. And that seems to give them more accuracy. So for me, I try to get all my fingers squished in there, as tight as I can. And then I try to get the disc as snug in there as I can. And that's called a pro grip. It?s good for long range throws. It?s good for power. It?s important to get every finger in there. Think of every finger as a spring. The more springs you have, the more power you are going to get. So the power grip, pro grip, is great for inducing long shots. If you are a big thrower, and you've got a lot of power, all four fingers all tucked in there really nice, its going to give you that distant that you need. You're going to want to make sure that you keep the flight path at the angle that you want it. To create the shot that you want. And just a good grip.
