Video Transcript

"Welcome to Expert Village, my name is Dr. Ed Riffel. In this clip we're going to talk about beginning your inversion and we're going to start with a spinal extension where we're extending the spine. We just want to lean back here, and then we'll raise our arms up, and gently go over to the end plate, and then we're going to put our hands above our head, and we'll just feel our spine extending. On this, also, you'll feel a lifting of your abdominal muscles and your abdominal organs. They will pull back in place. This, also, will pull the latissimus dorsi muscle, the shoulder muscles that are pulled down all through your life by doing flexion work. Also, you'll get some opening up of the knee joints, where the meniscus, they become worn during your life from running and jumping. This will open up that space and increase circulation in there."
