"At any time during your practice you need a little break and you need a little rest so you can come into Child Pose and Emily is going to do that here but she is going to show a couple different modifications for it. Emily would you like the blanket for your knees? There is a blanket for the knees. The first one she is going to do is called Embryo Pose. Her forehead is going to release on to this block, lower the hips down to the heels, lower the body gently down. Kind of spread the knees a little bit. Grab the block and place your forehead on the block. Now entwine the fingers on to the block, releasing down. Now she is breathing into the back, she is breathing in to her hips, anywhere that it is tight. Also as soon as she gets as comfortable as she wants to be, start thinking about your breath, what I want you to do is slow it down, see if you can feel the back muscles, the back ribs, inhaling, spreading, lifting up high and exhaling and feeling those ribs come back down. Then we're going to remove the block for another variation. See if you can lower the head down to the floor comfortably. Do you still need the block, let me know? Let your arms come behind your back, out to your sides, perfect? Now what I'm going to do is give her back a little massage. Now I'm not pressing down too hard, there's a baby under there. Very gently help her to relax that lower back, helping her relax the hips and please feel free at any time during class no matter what the rest of the class is doing to come into Child Pose if you need to. Keep breathing slow, gentle, and healing."
