Hi! This is Jon on behalf of Expert Village. In this video clip, I will be answering the question how does the cooling system work. The primary job of the cooling system is to keep the engine from overheating as you are driving. As liquid passes through the hot engine, it will absorb heat from the engine, which in turn will cool the engine. As the heated liquid continues through the engine and leaves it, it will pass through the radiator, which is located behind the grill at the front of your car As the heated liquid runs down through a series of channels, it is cooled by the outside air blowing through the radiator, or by the fan on the inside of your engine blowing on it. Lastly, when it reaches the bottom, it has been cooled and it will be pumped back into your engine where it will continue to cycle.
