What you want to do is simply slice the long way and at the end, you will see the part that was connected to the tree and you can open this up and there is out little pit. That's a pitted date. You just cut length wise, pull apart gently, reveal the pit and then slide it out. Again, slice, pull, reveal, remove. Slice, pull, reveal, remove. That's a good one. "
