Hello, this is Zephyr Clarke-Dolberg with Miami Dog Training in Miami, Florida. In this clip, we're going to talk about how to train a puppy to stop biting. There's a few different techniques that, that they, you know, that can be used, you know, this is happens to be a real licky puppy, but had he had he had he been biting me, it with my hands in my mouth, I want to make my fist with a hole in it, come up underneath and move my fingers out just as I bop him underneath the chin. Alright, that drives his jaws together. Creates a reverberation in his in his skull and they don't like it. Another option is the muzzle grab. He doesn't have much of a muzzle. Some bulldogs don't have much of a muzzle, so you know, that technique doesn't work, you need to use the bop. But a muzzle grab, if you can hold the muzzle, they may scream, they may cry, they may fight but you need to hold the muzzle until they're calm. That's what the mother dog would do and by, you know, reenacting what the mother dog does naturally, they completely understand and follow suit.
