Hi friends, I'm Mark Govan with ABC Pest Control in Largo, Florida. Getting rid of sand ants is fairly easy. In fact, one of the beneficial things about sand ants is the fact that they won't sting you or bite you. Unlike our fire ants and different species we have in Florida, sand ants are fairly non-aggressive. If you happen to step on a mound, they will just cover your hands. They might cover your legs a little bit, but they're not going to bite you. But how do you get rid of 'em? Well, we've got several products today I'd like to show you that we can use to help get rid of these sand ants in the area. A good granular application of a product like TallStar around the area will go ahead and kill those ants. It may take a little bit of time to get rid of all the ants in the area, but tall star is a great product. This is one of the products called Wisdom, but the active ingredient is called biphenthren. This product will, again, it's a granule product. If you put it out with a hand held spreader around the area, your sand ants will disappear and you won't have any problem with those ants from that point on. I'm Mark Govan in Largo, Florida, hoping you have a pest free day.
