How I'm Rachel Yatuzis and I'm going to show you how to clean your sofa cushions. It really depends on where your sofa cushions are dirty and how dirty they are. Of course you want to get by with spot cleaning some of your sofa cushions as much as possible because it is going to make them last a lot longer so if you get any stains or any spots try to get to the stain as soon as you can and use a stain remover you know on a rag to clean the spot up. Now if your sofa cushions are anything like mine or these right here that have the piping it is a little more difficult to clean them and there are a couple of ways you can do it. You can take the cushions off of your couch and get a bucket of warm water and a mild soap like a mild dish soap or even OxiClean. I use OxiClean a lot, just make a mixture of sudsy water and wipe them off or if you look on your sofa cushions there will be a zipper. This is how they got the fabric on to your sofa cushions and this is also how you are going to get the fabric off your sofa cushions. This is how I clean my microfiber couch at home so it is safe for sensitive materials and it will clean the entire cushion. Of course while it is being washed nobody is going to be able to sit on the couch so I say do this at night or do it on a weekend when everybody is going to be out of the house because you don't want to put your fabric in the dryer afterwards, you want to be able to hang it up outside, not in direct sunlight because you don't want it to fade or hang it over some kitchen chairs, you know however you think it is going to dry the quickest and when you're done just put it back on the cushion. It is easier if you have somebody to help you because it can be a big job but it will get your couch looking brand new. I am Rachel Yatuzis and that is how you clean sofa cushions.
