Dolphins protect themselves from predators by staying in large groups or schools. Learn how dolphins stay safe from killer whales and sharks from a marine biologist in this free video on dolphins.
My name is Maddalena Bearzi. I'm President of Ocean Conservation Society, a nonprofit dedicated to the protection of marine mammals and the marine environment. And today, we will talk about how dolphins protect themselves. Dolphins usually protect themselves by being in a group or school. They can protect themselves from predators like killer whales, or great white shark. Usually, if there are many dolphins, a predator do not tend to attack this animal if they are in...if there are fewer animal they can escape this predator just by leaving as fast as they can. Unfortunately, the biggest predator is us. My name is Maddalena Bearzi. I'm president of Ocean Conservation Society.
