Hi, I'm Sophie Uliano, author of "Gorgeously Green." And, I'm going to show you how to make an antiviral inhalation, which is obviously fantastic for the winter months when you can feel something coming along, you get that little itch in the back of the throat. You want to make this right away. So, what you need is three essential oils. Now, the three that you need are tea tree, eucalyptus, and thyme. Now, you should probably be able to get most of these from a health food store like Holland & Barrett. But, it must be these three. Now, the next thing that you're going to need is a device through which you can inhale these oils. And, inhaling essential oils is actually one of the most effective ways to get the essential oils, the therapeutic benefits of the oils, into your system. Now this, I absolutely love. I got it from Boots. So, I believe Boots sells these. And this, if you can get one of these, you are absolutely set. If you can't you can always use just a regular bowl. So, what you're going to do is place five drops of each of these oils, tea tree, eucalyptus, and thyme. And, these have all been carefully selected, these oils, due to their antiviral properties. Now, boiling water is very, very important that the water is actually boiling when you put it on the oils, because obviously, it's the steam that you're going to inhale. And, what I love about this is the moment you put the water in, you can just sort of cap all the steam into it. If you're going to use a bowl, then make sure that you have a towel on the bowl ready, so that no steam escapes until you're ready to put your face into it. So, here's my water that is boiling. It'll always tell you where to fill the boiling water up to. You want to be careful that you don't overfill, because it could be dangerous. So, there we have it, and I'm just going to trap all that steam in right away. And then, oh, that smells so wonderful! It's a sort of wintergreen, lovely, eucalyptus smell. Now, if it's very strong when you first start to inhale it, just give it 20 or 30 seconds, and then it'll start slowly dying down the strength of the oils. But, truly, these oils we'll recap one more time: Five drops of eucalyptus, five drop of tea tree, and five drops of thyme. So, these, as I've said, are carefully selected, because they all have antiviral characteristics, compounds, in them. They're very strong, they pack a punch. The first sign of a cold or flu, make this, do it every hour throughout they day, and you'll be good to go. So, for more tips and recipes and projects, please visit me at GorgeouslyGreen.com, and enjoy your antiviral inhalation.
