Determine if the power cord is securely plugged into the surge suppressor. It is important to note that the Reebok treadmill's power cord is not compatible with outlets that are GFCI-equipped.

Make sure the key is inserted properly into the main Reebok treadmill console.

Locate the power switch on the Reebok treadmill. It is near the power cord on the frame of the treadmill. Press the power reset button and wait five minutes before you resume exercising on the treadmill.

Make sure the power cord is plugged securely into the surge suppressor. If it is plugged in, unplug the unit, replug into the wall and then wait five minutes before resuming exercise.

Remove and reinsert the key into the Reebok treadmill console.

Look to see if the letter "d" appears in the right bottom corner of the lighted Reebok treadmill console. If this letter appears, then the treadmill is still in DEMO mode.

Switch the unit off of DEMO mode by pressing and holding the "Stop" button down for five seconds.

Press the speed decrease button for three to five seconds to release the DEMO mode. Once the unit is off of DEMO mode, the letter "d" should no longer appear in the bottom right-hand screen.

Keep the key in the console and the treadmill unit plugged in.

Press the incline button on the unit. The incline function should start running.

Remove the key in the console while the incline function is running.

  • Switch the unit off of DEMO mode by pressing and holding the "Stop" button down for five seconds.
  • Remove the key in the console while the incline function is running.

Wait for five seconds and reinsert the key into the Reebok treadmill console. This will reset the incline feature. The unit will rise to the maximum incline height and then reset itself to the minimum level.

Make sure that the unit is on a firm, level surface.
