Coolant is not only a staining product that looks unsightly on your concrete, but it is also a hazard for pets who are attracted to the scent and taste. Cleaning up coolant is a task that takes a few different steps to treat all the problems that the coolant could cause.

Pour cat litter directly onto the coolant. Cat litter is an absorbent material that will soak up the coolant helping reduce the amount for you to clean.

Leave the cat litter to soak up the coolant for about 30 minutes.

Use a push broom to sweep the cat litter into a dust pan and dispose of it in a closed container.

Fill a bucket with hot water and add 2 cups of vinegar. Vinegar is a natural degreaser and will break up and lift away the stain that the coolant could leave on a concrete driveway.

Sprinkle baking soda on the area where the coolant is located. Pour the hot water and vinegar mixture onto the baking soda and use the push broom to scrub the area well. Continue to add the water and vinegar to the area and scrubbing until the bucket is empty.

Refill the bucket and rinse the area with warm water. Baking soda and vinegar are natural cleaners and won't harm the concrete or the soil around your driveway. Allow the area to dry completely before using the driveway.
