Shoe polish is an oily product that is rubbed off onto other surfaces like carpets, upholstery, clothes and even walls. This is more likely to happen if the polish isn't rubbed into the shoe sufficiently. You need to clean it off the wall with the proper cleaner because of its oily consistency.

Wipe off as much of the shoe polish as possible with a clean, dry rag. Be careful not to smear it across the wall any more than it already is.

Wet a clean rag or cotton ball with rubbing alcohol.

Wipe the stain with the alcohol until it is gone. You may need to repeat this with a fresh rag or cotton ball as the shoe polish is picked up.
