The Peavey M-4000 power amplifier was manufactured in the late 1980s. The power amplifier receives a signal from an audio mixer and amplifies it out to the speakers. The amplifier can be used to power passive speaker systems that do not have a built-in amplifier. The M-4000 power amplifier can output 200 watts per channel. There are two channels, A and B.

Connect a 1/4-inch cable from the output of the mixer to the input jacks on channel A on the back of the amplifier. You can plug the cable into either one. If you have right and left outputs from the mixer, you can plug both into the inputs.

Connect a 1/4-inch cable from the "Speaker Outputs" jack on the channel A to the back of a speaker.

Repeat steps one and two, if desired, for channel B.

Turn the power switch on. The power switch is on the front of the amplifier.

Adjust the knob as desired for each channel. Turning the knob to the right will make the output louder, while turning to the left will make the output quieter.
