The Epson DX3800 is an all-in-one printer compatible with both Windows and Macintosh operating systems. It offers quick solutions for both families and business professionals. At some point in the printer's life, you may want to clear out the printer’s memory settings. This helps speed up the processing of other requests sent to the all-in-one printer.

Turn off your Epson DX3800 printer. Disconnect the USB cable connecting your printer and your personal computer. Remove the power cable from the power outlet.

Uninstall the Epson software on your computer. Click “Start,” “Control Panel” and “Programs” or “Add/Remove Programs.” Look for the Epson DX3800 in the list of programs and click on it to uninstall. Follow the wizard to effectively uninstall the software.

Delete any files left behind. Click “Start” and “Search.” Type “Epson DX3800” (without the quotes) into the search bar. Right-click and select “Delete” on any files that the computer finds.

Turn off or restart the computer. Connect the USB cable into USB ports located on both your printer and personal computer. Reconnect the power cable into the printer and power outlet.

Insert the Epson DX3800 software CD into your computer’s disk drive. Follow the installation wizard to properly install the software back onto your computer. When the installation is complete, restart your computer so that the changes take effect.

Power on your Epson DX3800 once your computer has restarted. Test it out by printing a document, image or Web page. Your printer is now reset.
