The alloy wheels on a Vauxhall Corsa come with a cover in the centre, hiding the wheel nuts that secure the wheel to the car. This protects the alloy bolts from damage and also acts as a deterrent to would-be thieves. The cover needs to be removed to access the bolts and take off the wheel. This is done by using a screwdriver or a special key which are included as part of the vehicle tool kit.

Open your vehicle tool kit, which is stored in a compartment beneath the spare wheel, in the boot luggage compartment. Select the screwdriver. If you are removing a hub cab with an anti-theft lock then select the special key included.

Position the screwdriver in the recess at the edge of the alloy hub cover. Prise off the cover.

Insert the key into the three-holed slot on the anti-theft hub cap. Twist the key in an anti-clockwise direction to pop off the alloy cover. Don't apply too much force as this can break the key. If the cover is jammed or stuck on, take it to a Vauxhall dealer to have the cover removed.
