Constant sun exposure to the dash of your Citroen can cause the material that makes up the dash to expand out of place. This expansion creates holes and cracks in the dash, which can jeopardise the stability of the components which it houses. To solve this problem, you need to remove the dashboard from your Citroen in order to have it repaired or replaced. The work will take close to an hour to complete.

Enter the front of your Citroen. Locate the screws which hold the glove compartment in place. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the two mounting screws. Pull the glove compartment away from the dash.

Locate the two screws which hold the rubber bezel around the instrument cluster. Remove the screws with a screwdriver and pull the bezel from the cluster. Remove the front face plate away from the radio.

Remove the mounting screws which hold the instrument cluster and the radio in place. Remove the electrical wiring from the rear of both components and slide them both away from the dash. Keep the screws in a safe place as you will need to reattach them at a later date.

Remove the rest of the screws which hold the lower dash panels in place. Carefully lift the lower dash panels away from the Citroen. Take care not to damage the interior.

  • Locate the two screws which hold the rubber bezel around the instrument cluster.
  • Remove the rest of the screws which hold the lower dash panels in place.

Take out the rest of the screws which hold the upper dash panels in place. Complete the job by removing the rest of the upper dash panels.
