Kidney Flu Symptoms
A kidney disorder can feel much like symptoms of the flu. As a stone attempts to pass, patients typically suffer fever, chills, nausea, vomiting, sharp pain in the back or sides (below the ribs) and pain throughout the abdomen and groin.
Risk Factors
According to the American Academy of Family Physicians, kidney stones often form as a result of failing to drink enough fluid (especially water), a family history of kidney stones or consuming foods high in protein and sodium.
