Toyota Mark X Specs

The Japanese auto manufacturer Toyota, created the Mark X, a sedan that has aspects of both a sport and luxury automobile. The Mark X is a rear-wheel drive sedan. The car is also fuel-efficient, and comes with many safety features including knee air bags, skid control and a radar detection system that warns the driver of potential crashes.

Engine and Transmission

The 2010 and 2011 Mark X engine come in two sizes: the 2,500cc and the 3,500cc engine (officially 2,499 ccs and 3,456 ccs, respectively). Both engines are from the Toyota GR series. The 2500cc is the Toyota 2GR-FSE engine, an open deck 3.5 litre (2.5 litre for the two-wheel drive), V-6 piston engine with 24 valves and a rating of 311 horsepower at 6,400rpm, and torque of 278 foot-pounds at 4,800rpm. The 3500cc is the Toyota 4GR-FST engine, a 3.5 litre, V-6 engine with 24 valves, 212hp at 6,400rpm and torque of 192 foot-pounds at 3,800rpm. The 2,500cc engine is available in two-wheel and four-wheel drive; the 3,500cc engine is available in two-wheel drive only. The Mark X has an automatic transmission.

Fuel Efficiency and Emissions

The 2010 Mark X introduced new fuel-efficiency standards. The car runs on gasoline. The Mark X exceeds Japanese fuel efficiency standards. Efforts to improve fuel efficiency and reduce CO2 emissions resulted in these outcomes. The fuel efficiency for the 2.5-litre two-wheel-drive models is 13.0km/litre, while the 3.5-litre two-wheel-drive models get a rating of 10.2km/litre. Toyota states that the Mark X CO2 emissions levels are 75 per cent lower than the 2005 levels required under the Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Approval System for Low-emission Vehicles.

Steering, Brakes, Suspension

The Mark X has rack and pinion steering. It comes with ventilated front disc brakes and rear disc brakes. The vehicle also has double-wishbone front suspension and multi-link rear suspension.


The length of the Mark X is 4,730 inches. The width of the Toyota Mark X is 1,775 inches. The height of the Mark X is 1,435 inches. The wheel base of the Toyota Mark X measures 2,850 inches.
