It features a seed hopper capacity of 475.5 gallons and a hopper filling height of 93 inches. The 3-m version offers two rockshafts with nine row units each. The 4-m model has a working width of 13 feet, 1.5 inches, a height of 13 feet, 1.5 inches, a total weight of 4640 Kilogram and a hitch weight of 2100 Kilogram. It features a seed hopper capacity of 475.5 gallons and a hopper filling height of 100 inches. The 4-m version offers two rockshafts with 12 row units each. The 6-m model has a working width of 19 feet, 8 inches, a height of 13 feet, 1.5 inches, total weight of 6.8 Kilogram and a hitch weight of 2600 Kilogram. It features a seed hopper capacity of 607.6 gallons and a hopper filling height of 100 inches. The 6-m version offers two rockshafts with 18 row units each. All three models have a ground clearance of eight inches, a transport width of 9 feet, 10 inches and 6.5-inch row spacing. They feature a hydraulically operated marker system, with a working pressure of 3,000 psi and a burst pressure of 12,000 psi.
The 750 Grain Drill has a 18-inch diameter single disk opener disk with a bevelled edge. The gauge wheels are 4.5 inches by 16 inches and are adjustable in 0.25-inch increments from 0.5 to 3.5 inches. The press wheels are one-inch by 10-inch rubber wheels with a down force adjustment range of five to 20.4 Kilogram. The closing wheels are one-inch by 12-inch cast iron wheels at a 15-degree angle. They close the furrow with a down force adjustment range of 26 to 43 pounds. The active hydraulic down pressure initial setting is 700 psi.
The 750 Grain Drills are designed for use with tractors that have closed-centre hydraulic systems. The company sells attachments to convert the drills for use with tractors with open-centre hydraulic systems. The tractor must have ISO-compliant hose unions. For the display to function properly, the drill must have a 12-volt power supply, a 16-amp fuse, a minimum forward speed of 1.9mph and a temperature range of 14 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit. John Deere recommends tractors have a minimum of 80 horsepower for the 3-m model, 110 horsepower for the 4-m model and 150 horsepower for the 6-m model.
Sensors, Switches and Actuators
The seed drill systems feature two hopper reserve gauges for the 6-m version and one for the 3- and 4-m versions. There is one fan driveshaft sensor, one tramline control switch and one drive wheel sensor. Each model offers two meter shaft sensors, two solenoid shutoff valves, one full-width shutoff device and one half-width shutoff device. The system stores input data until cancelled.
