Pipe fitting involves installing or restoring pipes or piping systems that allow the flow of liquid and gas elements. There are various processes involved with these applications, from the preparation of pipes, to the joining of multiple pipes together and ultimately the repair of worn or damaged pipes. Many modern plumbing configurations require pipes to be angled to fit a particular space, and there are tools that can be sourced to ensure the accurate and efficient fitting of pipes.

Protractor Square Holder

The protractor square holder is a tool that is used to lay out angles up to 180 degrees for pipe fitting. It is designed with two adjustable framing squares that measure a required angle, with gradations marked clearly on the device to assist in an accurate reading. It is operated by removing capped screws from the tool, and moving one of the framing squares into the required position. The screws are then reattached to secure the device, allowing the user to accurately check or lay out an angled pipe or the join of one pipe with another.

Pipe Fitter's Square

The pipe fitter's square is a precision tool that is widely utilised in pipe fitting and welding. It has gradations marked in pipe-fitting dimensions rather than those used in carpentry, which helps to ensure accurate measurements and a concise layout. Its main purpose is to maintain a pipe's correct alignment through the application of fitting. It can is often used to align pipes that are fitted at unusual or non-standard angles, and the tool is designed to suit this need. It has a planar member with linear exterior edges of variable degrees, ensuring an appropriate angle can be created for the pipe.

Innovative Square Positioner

The innovative square positioner is utilised in pipe fitting to measure the squareness and angles of a pipe configuration or layout. The tool is a combination of a unique positioning system with two framing squares that allows the user to lay out pipes to variable angles. It has capped screws that are removable to allow the positioning system and one of the framing squares to be aligned. These screws are then reattached to secure the device. Once fitted, the tool can measure specific angles for pipe alignment and also the squareness of the flange face to the external surface of a pipe. This tool is sold in small or large sizes to suit different applications.
