A large mirror can be rather heavy, so when you decide to hang it up on a wall, ensure that you have the proper tools readily available to complete the job. Complete some research to determine the best location for the mirror, and use the proper tools when mounting the large mirror for the best result.

Wall Stud Finder
Use a stud finder to determine whether your wall can hold and support a large mirror. If the mirror is heavy, it will need to be attached to the wall studs located in the wall so that it does not fall down and break. To locate these studs, place the stud finder on the wall and drag it across the wall in a horizontal fashion. Whenever the device beeps or lights up, make a mark with a pencil, so you know where the studs are located.
Use a level to ensure that you connect the wall stud marks you have made on the wall in an even fashion. Making an uneven line will result in an uneven placement of the mirror. Do not trust your eyes when making the line that connects the wall stud points, as surrounding items can influence your view of the wall. Use the level to ensure that you have an even line.
Drill and Long Screws
Use a drill and long screws to insert screws into the wall and wall studs to provide the support for the large mirror. There should be at least two screws in an even line to support the mirror. The screws and line should be located near the middle of the mirror, as the mirror will drop slightly when hung.
Mirror clips are attached to the back of a large mirror that does not have a frame. The mirror clips are used to hold the wiring in place that will be attached to the screws installed on the wall in the wall studs. Connect the mirror clips of the back of the mirror, approximately half way down the mirror's sides.
Picture wire is used to connect the large mirror to the screws that are protruding from the wall. Wrap wire string around the mirror clips, so you have a straight wire going across the back of the mirror. The string should go straight across in the centre of the mirror. Tighten the wire so the mirror does not fall down too much when you place the mirror with string on top of the wall screws.
