The Nissan CW53-series dump truck, mainly the CW53AHVD, was produced beginning in the late 1990s. It was not offered in the United States. The CW53-series chassis can be outfitted for a variety of uses including garbage pickup and material hauling.

The Nissan CW53 series is a cab-over-engine, flat-front design. The engine most common to these vehicles is a code RG8, overhead-valve diesel 17.9-litre V-8 that produces 320 to 350 horsepower. It is equipped with a seven-speed manual transmission.

The Nissan CW53-series dump truck is equipped with a roomy cab, two adjustable fabric seats and a centre console. Some are equipped as a sleeper cab. Most CW53AHVD trucks are right-hand drive to accommodate buyers in Japan, Singapore and additional countries.

The tare weight of the Nissan CW53AHVD dump truck is 11.75 tons.

Its gross vehicle mass (GVM), or greatest allowable mass of the vehicle and its payload, is 23,600 kilograms or 26 tons. Its gross combination mass (GCM) is 40,450-kg or 44 tons. This measure is the greatest allowable mass for the vehicle and any trailers it pulls.
